Lovesick is an Italian based band formed of Paolo Roberto Pianezza, Francesca Alinovi and Alessandro Cosentino.
They are multi-instrumentalists, whose influences are deeply rooted in the American Country, rock'n'roll and western swing music of the 40s and 50s.
In addition to their vocal harmonies, Paolo plays electric and acoustic guitar, as well as lap steel, resonator and Dobro guitar. Francesca plays double bass with the addition of a brush pad, a percussion built into the double bass to keep the rhythm with a drum brush. Alessandro plays fiddle and drums.
‘Goin Down’ and ‘Until I’m Done’ - both out today - are the first AA singles from Lovesick’s new album ‘Remember My Name’ – scheduled for release June the 28th 2024. It will be distributed in Europe USA and Canada.
Recorded in Los Angeles during the late American spring of 2023, ‘Remember My Name’ was produced & mixed by Fabrizio “Fab” Grossi & mastered by Gavin Lurssen.
A new single called ‘You and I’ will be out May the 3rd 2024
Lovesick’s songs have been broadcast on radios across Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States and Brazil, steadily increasing the band’s popularity around the world since their 2015 formation.
Their live shows are greeted with an affection and warmth that is fully expressed by the sold out signs at every stage of the band’s recent tour that has touched the clubs of large cities such as Rome, Milan, Verona, Treviso and Bologna, their hometown.
They just got back from a 20 shows tour in the US, it was the first US tour and they got an incredible feedback from the audience with a lot tickets sold.
Lovesick have played as opening act for Ben Harper, JD McPherson, Zucchero. Toquiño and Edoardo Bennato and they have played big festivals all around Europe, alongside the likes of The Offspring, Social Distortion, Walter Trout, Fu Manchu, Secondo Casadei Orchestra and Ten Years After.
They received the nomination for the Ameripolitan Music Awards 2024 in Austin, Texas in the Western Swing band category, and participated in the Nomination during the Austin City Limits festival in February 2024.
Their strong presence on social media has also led to interest from a number of television productions, with Paolo and Francesca invited to participate, both as actors and musicians, in the movie about the soccer player’s life Francesco Totti 'Speravo de morì prima’ which, rather intriguingly, translates to ‘I Hoped He Would Die Sooner’, and in 'Lamborghini', released in cinemas in USA and Europe and on Amazon Prime. Paolo and Francesca will again combine their acting and musical skills in a new series about Oriana Fallaci that will be out in 2024 worldwide. To date Lovesick have independently sold more than 19 000 copies of their albums in Europe, the United States and Asia.

I Lovesick sono una band italiana composta da tre musicisti bolognesi polistrumentisti, le cui influenze sono profondamente radicate nel country americano, nel rock'n'roll e nella musica swing occidentale degli anni '40 e '50. Oltre alle loro armonie vocali, Paolo Roberto Pianezza suona la chitarra elettrica e acustica, oltre a lap steel, resonator e dobro. Francesca Alinovi suona il contrabbasso con l'aggiunta di un brush pad, una percussione incorporata nel contrabbasso per tenere il ritmo con una spazzola di batteria. Alessandro suona il violino e la batteria.
Il concerto dei Lovesick è un'immersione totale nelle atmosfere americane degli anni '40-'50: con il loro sound, abbigliamento e strumenti musicali vintage, toccano i temi tipici della Country Music e del Rock'n'Roll come l'amore, il tradimento e il divertimento.
Nel 2015 hanno pubblicato l'omonimo album 'Lovesick Duo', mentre nel 2017 è uscito 'New Orleans Session', e nel 2018 hanno prodotto 'La Valigia Di Cartone' (con brani esclusivamente originali scritti in italiano), oltre a diversi singoli pubblicati tra 2019 e 2020.
In tanti anni di attività sono stati invitati ad esibirsi in tutta Italia, Svizzera, Polonia, Francia, Irlanda, Svezia, Spagna, Belgio, Germania, Olanda, Croazia Stati Uniti in festival, discoteche, feste pubbliche e ricevimenti privati, con una partecipazione quasi oltre 120 concerti all'anno.
Nel 2021 hanno pubblicato l'album con solo canzoni originali, "All Over Again" e "A Country Music Adventure". L'ultimo è incentrato sull'età d'oro della musica country attraverso la reinterpretazione di alcuni dei classici dei pionieri di questo genere che li hanno ispirati.
Per circa dodici mesi le loro canzoni sono state trasmesse nelle radio di Italia, Spagna, Francia, Belgio, Olanda, Regno Unito, Irlanda, Stati Uniti e Brasile, aumentando la loro popolarità nel mondo attraverso il web. Grazie alla loro forte presenza sui social media, l'interesse della produzione televisiva è cresciuto così tanto che sono stati chiamati per il film sulla vita di Francesco Totti 'Speravo de morì prima', su Sky TV - recentemente uscito in formato DVD - e in ' Lamborghini', di prossima uscita nelle sale cinematografiche, dove sono presenti sia come attori che come musicisti.
Nel 2021 ricevono la nomination all'American Western Artists' Award e l'invito ad esibirsi come ospiti a Casa Sanremo per la 71esima edizione del Festival della Canzone Italiana, nello spazio dedicato "We Have a Dream" diretto da Red Ronnie.
Su Facebook hanno superato i 124.000 followers, il loro canale YouTube conta oltre 13.500 iscritti con oltre 15.000.000 di streaming video, più di 41.000 followers su Instagram e questi numeri crescono di giorno in giorno.
Grazie a ciò, continuano ad ottenere consensi unanimi dal loro affezionato pubblico; un affetto e un calore che si esprime appieno nella dimensione live con il sold out in ogni tappa del recente tour che ha toccato i club di grandi città come Roma, Milano, Verona, Treviso e Bologna, grazie all'online e all'ingresso vendita biglietti.

Con 5 album al loro attivo fino ad oggi, i Lovesick hanno in programma il loro nuovo album "Remember My Name" in uscita in primavera nel 2024.
